I am so glad to have you in my class. This is my fifth year at Chamblee Middle School. I cannot believe that thiswill be my 25th year teaching. I am an Atlanta native who grew up attending DeKalb County schools. I completed my undergraduate degree at Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. and my MATL through the University of Southern Mississippi's program in Morelia, Mexico. I lived in beautiful Guadalajara, Mexico for around six years, and taught first and second grade in a bilingual school there for three years. For 15 years, I taught Spanish in a K-8 school in Atlanta. I am very excited to be at Chamblee Middle School. When I am not teaching Spanish, I enjoy volunteering with Open Hand Atlanta and various animal rescue groups. I also enjoy cooking, reading, dancing, and music. I love listening to many types of music and hearing it live. I have a beautiful cat who enjoys helping me in my organic herb and vegetable garden on my patio.
